    Description

1978 Sandingmaster 42" wide belt sander, industrial 240V 3 phase
    One drum.
    No serial number.
Motors have tags, but main machine has no tag.
    440V, however, it comes with 240V 3-phase step-up transformer which requires a 100 amp breaker @ 240V.
Main motor pulls 30 amps at 440V (= 60 amps at 240V) as you see on its tag.
Although the motors can be wired to run on 220V, the machine controller is 440V, so there’s no way around that.
I’ve used it mostly as a thickness planer for large slabs for the last eleven years.  It's a beast.
    The main motor is incredible.
To be honest, this is not a veneer quality machine, at this point.
    There is no graphite platten.
The belt runs against the rubber drum.
The drum has been damaged by broken belts over the years.
The worst dent is about 1/8” deep near the middle, some others about 1/16” deep.
I start with coarse belts like 60 grit, which bridge over the drum dents pretty well.
If you’re sanding a panel less than 36” wide, you can take a pass, rotate the panel, and take a second pass.
The result is fairly flat, but not perfect.
A company in Houston gave me a price of 00 to make a new drum.
That's why I'm not selling it for K.  Shipping cost is rough estimate only.
