When setting up our dust collection or filtration systems we tend to have a lot of “moving parts” during this process and trying to figure out what type of line, piping or hose to use can be challenging. Dust collection hoses need to be not only long enough, but it must be durable, flexible and sturdy enough, so it won’t completely collapse in use. It must also perform under the constant use and abuse of an everyday workshop environment. This PVC hose checks all of those boxes and more!
Typically, PVC hose works best as a dust collection hose for woodworking applications where dust and chips from cutting, milling or sanding wood is a problem. This heavy-duty hose will stand up to small and large chunks of wood without getting punctured as well as handle the smallest of saw dust without leaking. PVC hose can be used as a primary line or can be plugged into and out of machinery as needed.
he Fulton 4 Inch to 2 1/2 inch reducer has been designed with a specific purpose in mind. That purpose is to connect the industry standard 4 inch diameter dust collection hose with the other industry standard 2 1/2 inch diameter dust collection hose. With a couple of hose clamps (not included) this reducer does its job perfectly and more!
One of the reasons that this fitting is used so often within the woodworking industry, is that many of us don’t want or need a large dust collection system in our garage or workshop. With this fitting, you’ll be able to reduce your hose size down to the 2 1/2 inch size which the most commonly used size for most big box store wet/dry vacuums and shop vacuums.
Easy to use hose clamps! Set your tools aside when installing your ductwork or hose with these handy, easy to tighten hose/duct clamps. Place the clamp where its needed then simply turn the key to loosen or tighten them.
