Product Description 3M Stikit Disc Pads hold 3M Stikit discs for use with disc, random orbital, and rotary sanders. They have a tough vinyl face that provides excellent disc adhesion yet allows quick, easy disc removal. A variety of lightweight, shock-resistant pads are available in 3-, 5- and 6-inch diameters. From the Manufacturer The 3M™ Stikit™ Disc Pad 28661 is constructed of 1/2" medium density foam for fast cut and shock resistance when sanding on flat or contoured surfaces and provides secure adhesion for a 5" 3M™ Stikit™ Disc (sold separately). The pad has a flexible 30 degree tapered edge that helps produce smooth finishing and blending. The red nylon face provides strong disc adhesion suitable for higher speed applications, yet enables quick removal without leftover residue. The tough, durable plastic hub has 5/8-11 internal threads compatible with 3M™ Disc Sander 28408 (sold separately) or other right angle tool with 5/8-11 threads. Max RPM is 12,000. The 3M Stikit system was designed for convenient disc changes between grades or applications. Stikit discs come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so that attaching them to the disc pad is as simple as pressing on a sticker, yet they remove cleanly from a Stikit disc pad. Stikit discs tend to provide a more aggressive cut than do 3M™ Hookit™ products.
